Audition Information
The Performance Assessment will consist of three elements:
- Students will be asked to perform a song on any instrument they currently can play (Piano, Guitar, Drums, Voice, Wind Instrument, String Instrument)
- This selection should be 1-3 minutes in length
- Bring a music review of your own favourite INSTRUMENTAL music selection
- Include title, composer, and any other important information
- Describe what you hear in the recording
- Give reasons why you like this selection as well as areas for improvement
- This should be approximately one paragraph in length
- Students will be asked to clap two bar rhythms (posted below)
- Counting out loud is acceptable
- Students will also be given sight-reading passages to play on a drum
